GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist Management in the Perioperative Setting

AARMY are pleased to be supporting the GL1MPSE study: a 2 week service evaluation looking at GLP-1/GIP receptor agonists in anaesthetics.

We’re currently recruiting trainees from each hospital in the deanery to help with data collection at the end of November. If you’re interest helping, join the dedicated Whatsapp group below to be kept updated about the project locally.

Aims

  • To determine the prevalence of GLP-1/GIP RA use in the UK surgical population
  • To describe how patients on GLP-1/GIP RAs are managed perioperatively
  • To estimate the incidence of complications related to continuing or stopping GLP-1 receptor agonists during the perioperative period
